Marketing, Events, & Community Relations Coordinator
1. PR/Marketing
Support Deputy Director in implementing a strong, measurable marketing and communications plan to:
Assist in raising awareness for the organization among key stakeholder groups including volunteer, client and donor/prospects.
Support strategic marketing initiatives to maintain a strong brand presence locally, regionally and nationally, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all media platforms and communications.
Support outbound communications, including (but not limited to) creating engaging marketing and promotional materials (both print and electronic), news releases, social media content, newsletter and website content.
Maintain/update collateral material.
Maintain key databases for optimal performance.
Support multiple annual events including all key event details. Drive event attendance and follow up,
tracking measurable event success for maximum return on investment.
Manage merchandise operations for both staff and the public community, overseeing the online store and
in-house inventory to ensure seamless access and availability of branded items.
Provide monthly and quarterly reports to the Deputy Director.
2. Community Relations & Partnerships
Increase community connections through proactive outreach and cultivation.
Research and develop our CRM/database for potential and current community partner relationships.
Identify and help support cultivation of potential collaboration opportunities for seeking funding, for identifying and accessing potential clients who could benefit from our services, and facilitating communications with community partners to share information and resources that helps further our mission.
Support Deputy Director in communication with stakeholders to keep them informed of the work of the
organization and to identify changes in the community served by the organization.
Support Deputy Director in establishing strong working relationships and collaborative agreements with community groups and other local and regional organizations to help achieve the goals of the Center.
Attend community events; manage booth set up, staffing and tear down.
3. Special Events Coordination
Research and support the development of event themes, budgets, timelines, and checklists.
Schedule regular meetings and manage reporting around adherence to associated deadlines.
Work closely with Deputy Director, facilities and operations teams to coordinate event details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc.
Assist in coordination of staff and volunteer requirements and activities for each event.
Collaborate on promotional strategy for each event; create and disseminate marketing materials to advertise events.
Manage social media promotion, document and share event images and create post-event follow up.
Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters.
Manage all events set up and clean up. Maintain inventory of event-related materials.
Support the close out of all events as required. This includes ensuring all vendors are paid in a timely manner and all outstanding revenue is invoiced and collected.
Collect and analyze data to conduct pre and post event evaluations and report on outcomes.
Education/or Experience:
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The individual must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While working at our equine facility, the individual will be subject to outdoor elements, some loud noises, natural dust from the barn, horses and environment.
