Sommer Boss - CTRI, CTRI Mentor, ESMHL, HPR Facilitator
Sommer was born and raised in Ohio and grew up with a love of horses and animals. She was diagnosed with a learning disability as a child and was a participant and volunteer at Fieldstone Farm Therapeutic Riding Center in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, where she became an accomplished rider competing successfully in jumping and equitation.
Sommer attended The Ohio State University Agricultural Institute in Wooster, Ohio, where she earned an associates degree in Horticulture. While working in the horticulture field, Sommer went through the PATH Intl. certification process to become a therapeutic instructor and was officially certified in 2014. Sommer was assisted in the certification process by Camp Cheerful (Achievement Center for Children) located in Strongsville, Ohio.
For three years, Sommer worked full time at Dream Catchers therapeutic riding program in James City County, Virginia, where she went through PATH Intl. training to become an ESMHL and a Mentor. She returned to Ohio to work full time at The Equestrian Therapy Program in Criderville, Ohio, for seven years. While there, she went through the training program to become a Horse Powered Reading™️ Facilitator. Sommer is excited to be part of the High Horses team and is looking forward to exploring Vermont.
