Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate riding instructor to join our multidisciplinary team at our equine-assisted services facility. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching riding lessons and facilitating therapeutic activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being for our clients. Your expertise will help foster a positive learning environment and support our mission of empowerment through equine therapy.
Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging riding lessons tailored to the needs of each participant.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all riders during lessons and activities.
Collaborate with other staff members to create individualized lesson plans.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to clients and their families.
Maintain equipment and ensure the riding area is safe and organized.
Requirements
PATH Int'l Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor credential preferred, but qualified candidates could be hired as CTRI-in-training and mentored on-site until certification is complete.
Experience working with individuals of diverse cognitive and physical abilities, including those who are neurodivergent.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with participants and their families.
Knowledge of behavior management strategies and facilitation of experiential learning is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a high functioning, multidisciplinary team.

Volunteer Program Manager
We are seeking a Volunteer Program Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive program focused on recruitment, retention, and appreciation with the goal of building a strong, engaged, and committed volunteer community
This full-time role is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing 60+ volunteers across daily programs, barn and farm operations, special events, and one-time projects. In collaboration with the Program Team, the Volunteer Program Manager ensures proper placement, support, and retention of volunteers. The position also involves strategic planning, program development, and leading volunteer teams to strengthen long-term engagement and organizational impact.

Physical Therapist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at our equine-assisted therapy facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in both traditional physical therapy and an interest in working in an innovative setting that integrates equines into the healing process. This role involves evaluating, developing, and implementing individualized treatment plans for clients using the therapeutic benefits of horse interaction, combined with conventional physical therapy techniques.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess physical function, strength, mobility, and overall progress.
Develop customized physical therapy treatment plans that incorporate horse movement and interaction to enhance rehabilitation.
Work closely with equine specialists, occupational therapists, and other team members to deliver holistic care to clients.
Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and gait training, both on and off the horse.
Educate clients and their families on exercises, mobility strategies, and self-care techniques to support ongoing recovery.
Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Document and maintain detailed patient records in compliance with facility policies and legal requirements.
Collaborate with external healthcare providers, including doctors and other specialists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
Education/or Experience:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Vermont.
Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Prior experience in pediatric, neurological, or orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred.
Strong interest in equine-assisted therapy and a willingness to work in an equine-assisted environment.
Ability to work with diverse populations, including children, adults, and individuals with special needs.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to adapt treatment methods to meet the needs of clients with varying levels of physical and emotional challenges.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Previous experience working in a therapy setting using Hippotherapy as a strategy is preferred but not required.
PATH Registered Therapist and AHA Part 1 and 2 certification to be attained within the first year; professional development funds will be provided to assist with these requirements.
